In the year 1919 a ruthless British officer came to India, who’s name was general Edward Harry Dyer. He was posted at Amritsar, he passed a law named rowlatt act by which he was about to diminish the common rights of the civilians. To protest against this Act a huge public gathering was planned at Jaliawala Bagh on 13 April 1919. More than 25000 people gathered to protest against the new law. General Dyer ordered a shootout on those innocent civilians who were protesting peacefully resulting in death of more than 3000 innocent lives. It is estimated that more than 1650 rounds of bullets were fired in just a span of 15 minutes.Udham SinghUdham Singh was 11 years of age and protesting with his family, he saw the whole event through his own eyes and was furious to take his vendetta from Dyre.
